In 1884, a small group of people met in New York to form an organization to support professionals working with electricity for the betterment of humanity. Today, IEEE is one of the world's largest professional associations, with over 1,700 professional chapters and 38 societies focusing on technologies in aerospace, telecommunications, medicine, robotics, and more. IEEE reaches out to students through over 2000 branches and chapters at colleges and universities all over the world.

Members of IEEE, SWIFT/IEEE, and ACM are invited to join us at the University Library, room 2907, on November 19 during University Hour as we wish IEEE a happy 125th birthday with pizza, cake, prizes, and more!
